Online Keyboard Cleaner

What is an Online Keyboard Cleaner?

An online keyboard cleaner is a utility tool designed to temporarily disable your keyboard inputs. This allows you to wipe down your keys, remove dust, and sanitize your laptop or desktop keyboard without shutting down your computer or accidentally typing gibberish. It is the safest way to clean your mechanical keyboard or laptop while the screen is on.

How to Clean Your Keyboard Safely

• Lock your keyboard: Click the large lock button above to disable all key inputs.
• Wipe the keys: Use a microfiber cloth, compressed air, or a disinfectant wipe to clean the surface.
• Watch the keyboard map: Every key you press lights up, and the progress bar shows how much of the keyboard you've covered (satisfying, isn't it?).
• Unlock: Click the button again (or use your mouse) to restore keyboard functionality.

Why Use This Tool?

Cleaning a keyboard while the computer is running usually results in opening random apps, deleting files, or sending confusing messages. This keyboard lock tool prevents that by intercepting keystrokes directly in your browser. No download is required, making it the perfect solution for MacBooks, Windows laptops, and Chromebooks.

Keyboard Cleaning Tips

• Loosen crumbs first: Tilt the keyboard (or laptop) upside down and tap it gently.
• Use short bursts of compressed air at an angle between the keys.
• Never spray liquid directly on the keys. Lightly dampen a microfiber cloth with isopropyl alcohol instead.
• Mechanical keyboards: Pull the keycaps with a keycap puller, wash them in warm soapy water, and let them dry completely before putting them back.
• After a spill: Shut down and unplug right away, turn the keyboard upside down, and let it dry fully before using it again.
